Gibt's einen Oscar fürs SAW-Land?

Die Filmakademie in Los Angeles hat die Nominierten für die Oscar-Verleihung bekanntgegeben. Der deutsche Beitrag «Im Westen nichts Neues» von Edward Berger (*1970) aus Wolfsburg ist in der prominentesten Sparte "Bester Film" nominiert und dazu noch als bester internationaler Film, bestes adaptiertes Drehbuch sowie in 6 weiteren Kategorien. Die Verleihung ist am 12. März - aus unserer Perspektive findet die Verleihung als in der Nacht vom Sonntag auf den Montag statt.

Deutschland schaffte es schon ein paar mal, den Titel "Bester fremdsprachiger Film"  gewinnen zu können. Den Titel "Bester Film" hatten wir noch nie.
